1. List Conversion

AKA List Services has the capability to work with any data source or structure. You can be confident that regardless of the source of your prospect files they will be converted to a working format which ensures data integrity and reliability.

List conversion is generally the first process in any acquisition project. The accuracy and integrity of the data that proceeds from this process is basic and vital to the overall success of any mailing. AKA provides reports on the quality of converted data. These reports include formatted full name lengths, company and address line lengths, the number of address line combinations, state counts, prefix and suffix counts.

Our goal is to ensure both your data integrity and your level of comfort that more than just "due diligence" is applied to all of your processing needs.

2. NCOA

NCOA - National Change of Address Database - Every year approximately forty-four million Americans move their place of residence and/or business. How can mailers get their customers' and donors' new addresses quickly and efficiently? The USPS estimates that at least 8% of all Standard Mail is undeliverable because of incorrect addresses. This means lost opportunities, lost sales, and wasted money. Even if the address forwarding service gets a particular mailing delivered it will have been significantly delayed. Further, the USPS requires NCOA processing for first class mailings wishing to receive automation discounts. It has been said that the challenge for mailers is to get their mail opened. Don't compound this challenge by mailing to the address where "they used to live."

NCOA for your house file helps you keep from losing the donors you have worked hard to capture and increases the value of any list rentals you may offer by providing high quality, current addresses from your rental databases. Addressing errors are identified and corrected before mail enters the mail-stream. Mailers use NCOA to save thousands of dollars that would have been spent on wasted materials and postage.

AKA has relationships with NCOA licensees that allow for very rapid and very affordable NCOA file processing. Do not overlook this very valuable aid to any mailing.

3. Deceased Processing

Deceased file processing is the matching of name and address data against a file containing 40 million deceased records. Deceased processing will enable mailers to more intelligently identify deceased names and allow for a determination if a name should be suppressed. The mailer will benefit from an improved response rate, lower cost and an improvement of the company's image by minimizing mailings to deceased individuals.

4. CASS and DPV

The Coding Accuracy Support System (CASS) process validates and standardizes addresses for fast, accurate postal processing. It attempts to correct Zone Improvement Plan (ZIP) Codes, appends ZIP+4, Carrier-Route, Delivery Point and Error Message Codes and provides a CASS and National Deliverability Index (NDI) Report.

Delivery Point Validation ensures that an actual address exists down to the final delivery point address. Delivery Point Validation enables you to target your mailings more efficiently to reduce list, production and postage costs.

The United States Postal Service ZIP+4 database and the Delivery Point Validation database are updated on a monthly basis.

5. Merge / Purge

Merge/Purge is the process used to delete, update and retain duplicate and/or unique records returned from a matching process.

6. Postal Sortation

This is the presorting of mail from a geographic area down to the postal carrier route or walk sequence to satisfy USPS requirements for mail delivery.
